What we have done – students opinion

Since 1967, 2 April is celebrated as International Children’s Book Day on or around Hans Christian Andersen’s birthday. To inspire a love of reading children’s books,  in the frame of the project, second form students organized a flash mob on reading. They gathered in the school corridor on April 3 and spent 10 minutes reading aloud from their favourite books. Reading is cool!

On May 17 in the frame of the project second form pupils had a meeting with Daugavpils writers and poets Jevgenijs Golubevs, Stanislavs Volodjko, Regina Usacova and Stepanida Milasevica in the city children’s library. Kids recited  these authors’ poems. The authors also read from their famous books. It was exciting for students and adults.
